With a view of advancement of the Interior Design Profession in India,
the Institute of Indian Interior Designers was founded in 1972 to establish
good professional and trade practices and ethics among its members, highlight
and enhance the image of the Interior Design profession and exchange know-how
with similar organisations in other countries.
Today it comprises of over 3000 members spread around the country
having 12 Chapters and three Centres.
The IIID is a member of the IFI - International Federation
of Interior Architects / Interior Designers
and the APSDA - Asia Pacific Space Designers Association
and an associate of the JDF - Japan Design Foundation.
